2018 Golden Globes: Celeb Skincare Secrets Revealed

Hollywood makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan worked with Kiehl’s to create red carpet looks for Allison Williams and Millie Bobby Brown at the 75th Golden Globe Awards. We were fortunate enough to have Kelsey, who frequently works with some of the biggest names in the business, to provide us with skincare breakdowns for the Girls and Stranger Things stars.

Inspiration
Kelsey created a fresh, glowing make-up look with warm tones to complement Allison’s gorgeous dress and stunning necklace.

Skincare Breakdown
• Kelsey prepped Allison’s skin by beginning with Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, followed by Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream moisturiser to ensure lasting hydration throughout the long evening
• She then applied Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado to the sensitive skin under the eyes for added moisture and to prep the eyes for concealer
• Having the under-eyes sufficiently hydrated helps the concealer stay longer and prevents it from looking too cakey or dry
• To combat unwanted shine and control oil on the t-zone, Kelsey applied Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector so there would be no need for too many touch-ups throughout the night
• To finish prepping before make-up, Kelsey used Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm on Allison’s lips as the perfect way to moisturise the lips and help lipstick stay on longer

Inspiration
Kelsey was inspired by Millie’s black Calvin Klein statement dress, and created a look that complemented it without distracting from the dress itself. To do that, she focused on a look with defined eyes and a neutral lip.

Skincare Breakdown
• Kelsey prepped Millie’s skin by beginning with Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate to smooth the skin and ensure lasting hydration throughout the long evening
• She then applied Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for the sensitive skin under the eyes for added moisture and to prep the eyes for concealer
• To combat unwanted shine and control oil on her t-zone, Kelsey applied Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector so there would be no need to touch her up too much throughout the night
• To finish prepping before makeup Kelsey used the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm on Millie’s lips
• Kelsey then started on her makeup by applying skin caviar concealer from a luxury French skincare brand + foundation in warm beige with a damp sponge to the face and décolletage
• To not stray too far from Millie’s gorgeous natural rosy lip color, Kelsey used Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment to hydrate the lips and accentuate her natural beauty
