My daily make-up routine

My daily make-up routine begins with cleansing, toning and moisturising the face. Before applying make-up, I usually prep my skin by doing the following steps: I dip my face in ice cold water first thing in the morning; it reduces any puffiness or swelling on the face and makes my skin look fresh. Then I use a gel-based moisturiser and a good under-eye cream. After that, I use a sunscreen with SPF 50 and a heavy lip balm or a lip oil to moisturise my lips.

A go-to look I wear daily

I use a tint for my lip and cheeks, brush my brows, curl my lashes, add a little mascara and I’m good to go.

My beauty regime for an event

Before an event, I make my skin look healthy by using just the right amount of make-up. For my face, just a bold lip and thick brows make all the difference. I also like to add lots of highlighter, blush and mascara.

My most fun shoot till date

I think one shoot which will always be special for me is the campaign I did for designer Nikhil Thampi’s Sylph Collection. I worked with the best people in the industry like Arjun Mark, Mohit Rai, Rachel Bayros and Shay. It was a spontaneous look and I really had fun creating it! The whole look came out wonderfully and the campaign was featured in many magazines.

My beauty muse & inspiration

My beauty muse is Rihanna or Blake Lively; and my beauty inspiration would definitely be Pat Mcgrath.

Transforming from day to night look

To change from a day look to night look, you could pump up the highlighter and contours. If you like brighter eyes, maintain it and go for a dark bold lip colour. If you prefer darker eyes, you can go intense on the eyes with a nude lip. The morning eyeliner can be your evening smokey eye look, just experiment!

Must-haves in my handbag

The must-have products you’ll always find in my hand bag would definitely be a tinted moisturiser, a lip and cheek tint, a lash curler and a brow pencil.

Preparing for a red carpet look

For a red carpet event, a lot has to be taken into account—what the stylist thinks, what the celebrity wants and what the feel or the mood of the event is. After taking all these aspects into consideration, I trust my instinct and do the best I can!

My ultimate beauty tip

Feel free and fearless to experiment. Until and unless you don’t try, you won’t know what looks best on you!
