A Fruity Affair

Get oh-so-glowing and radiant skin with help from different magical fruits.

Fruits have always been the best foods to include in your diet to stay healthy and fit, advises Dr Blossom Kochhar. Fruits, especially seasonal ones, bring amazing benefits to your skin. They can also be called ‘miracle foods’. Include these easily available fruits in your skincare routine for glowing skin.

> Papaya – This fruit helps to remove dead skin and nourishes the skin. To make papaya pack, squash 2 tbsp of papaya and add 1 tsp of milk powder to it. Now squeeze half a lemon and 1 drop of lavender essential oil in the mix. Apply the mixed pack and keep for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. Your skin will become smooth after the first use only.


> Lemon – Excellent for skin brightening, lemon acts as a natural bleach. Though people with sensitive skin need to careful to directly use lemon on the skin, one must do a patch test first. Make lemon pack by adding juice of 1 lemon to some sandalwood powder. Mix and apply it on your face and neck. This is an excellent pack for oily skin.

> Avocado – A go-to fruit pack for those with dry skin. It has vitamins and minerals that nourish the skin. Smash the avocado into a pulp and add 1 tsp of milk cream to it and put 2 drops of neroli in it for skin elasticity. Apply it on your face for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.


> Watermelon – Watermelon mineralises your skin, makes it brighter and lends a natural glow to the skin. Take watermelon pulp, add 1 tsp of rice flour and 1 drop of jasmine essential oil. Beat the ingredients together to form a paste. Apply the pack for 10-15 minutes and your skin will feel fresh and rejuvenated.
