Acne Prone? Lifestyle Changes You Should Make Now!

Take matters in your own hands and bless your skin with these changes!

Our old enemies, that just don’t leave your skin alone, yes we are talking about acne! Popping up at uncalled times especially before a big event ( we have all been there)! We blame our hectic lifestyles, scarce sleep schedules, the rising pollution for the cause but now that we are devoid of the harming factors it’s time to work on those acne issues to leave you scar free. PS. Your body will thank you more if you follow these!

Don’t forget to exfoliate 

As we are indoors just washing our face twice is what we are sufficed to, but take note ladies, exfoliation is still very important. A pile of dead skin cells can clog pores and result in those red angry pimples, so exfoliate up to twice a week depending on your skin type.

We’ll say it again: Moisturize!!

We are often in the dilemma of whether or not to moisturize if we have oily skin, but trust us your skin will only thank you for the extra lathering. The best time to moisturize is after having a bath since your skin is damp and can absorb well.

Look out for dairy and sugar 

All those donuts and milkshakes could actually be a cause of the aggravating those red bumpy foes. Some researches also show that dairy causes gut issues and well sugar ain’t done anyone any good so it’s better to stay away from these culprits. Take a break from these in your diet and check for visible changes in your skin, you will find out if they are actually the one causing you issues.

Get enough Zzzzs

Now that we are indoors our sleep cycles have taken a reverse toll, rather than getting that quality sleep we are becoming night owls. Sleeping at the right time is important for our body to relax and rejuvenate. Get that perfect 8-9 hours of sleep ‘at night’ for the glow.

Fill that bottle

Now that we sweat less and physical exertion is limited our water intake has also dropped. Dehydrated skin is not a happy one, try to drink 2-3 litres of water everyday and you will be surprised how much your skin will heal.

Keep your surroundings clean 

Just washing your face won’t cut the mark to clear that acne. Keeping your phone, your pillow case, your towel and anything and everything that touches your face clean as well is very important as your skin doesn’t like grimy bacteria and dirt. Also, stay way from touching your face and popping those pimples, that is definitely a big no-no.
