Apple puree provides a gentle way of exfoliation, it removes dead skin cells and is a great alternative to chemical scrubs. Take one cup apple puree, mix two table spoons of granule sugar and rolled oats. Use as a regular scrub and massage to get a fresh glowing skin.
Tone it up
Prepare fresh apple juice and use a cotton to apply on your face to neutralize the pH. You can also chop some green apples, add them to the sauce pan with lukewarm water and straining the contents for the use.
Bid adieu to dark circles
Slice up an apple, sit back and relax as you place them on your tired eyes. You can also keep the apple in your fridge for a cool sensation.
As a DIY
We love eating this fruit so why not put it on our skin. Apple can be combined with a lot of other ingredients for specific skin issues but our favourite is the traditional mask that works the best for acne.
Mash a quarter of an apple in a bowl, add a tablespoon of cream/2 tablespoons of milk and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix all the ingredients together and apply on a clean face to see acne fade away.
For a glowing skin, add 2 tablespoons of pomegranate juice to the mashed apples and add a tablespoon of yogurt, apply on a clean face and keep on for 20 minutes and rinse of with warm water.
So, we rephrase the phrase to “ An apple a day keeps the skin problems away!”
