We’ve all made some common beauty blunders and winced later. Rising singer, performer and YouTube sensation Dhvani Bhanushali had admitted in an interview with HAIR that, “I once tried to use my dad’s brush to blow dry my hair and it got stuck and I had to cut my hair real short. I was 10 years old then.”
Let’s look at some common beauty sins that can be easily avoided:
- Vigorous rubbing of your hair and skin. Most of us tend to do vigorous rubbing of hair and skin during shower for a long time. This removes the natural oils and lipids that provide protection to your skin.
- Brushing hair when it’s still wet after bathing. Brushing your hair tightly or detangling it when it’s still wet damages hair and weakens its roots.
- Applying foundation in circular motion on the face. Dragging foundation downwards or in circular motion lifts your facial hair and accentuates it further.
Sleeping with your make-up on. The make-up on your face prevents the skin from renewing and regenerating itself during sleep, further causing dryness, acne and enlarged pores.
