My daily make-up regime

My daily make-up regime involves a lot of skincare before doing any make-up. I always apply a night serum. In the morning, I use a moisturiser and sunblock. I have dark circles which tend to make my eyes look tired. Hence I use an orange concealer so I don’t look sleepy or tired. Also, instead of using a blush I use a tint on my eyes and cheeks. I prefer to have semi-permanent lashes on most of the time. It simply adds to the whole look. Since I don’t prefer wearing lashes or mascara every day, this works for me.

Make-up ritual for a big event

For a big event, I usually do a lot of contouring on my face. For my lips, I opt for bright lip colours and go for elaborate eye make-up. The smokey eyes look always works wonders if it’s a night event.

My most fun & fab look

I do not have just one specific fun shoot. For me, all campaign shoots are a lot of fun as the main focus is on beauty and make-up. For instance, I did a shoot with brides-to-be for Bebeautiful. For this, real brides were chosen from a contest and given a bridal makeover and we created fun looks for them. For me, that was an exciting and challenging one.

My beauty muse

A person who inspires me the most is Kim Kardashian. Her bronze look and make-up is always very interesting. In fact, I find all the Kardashian sisters amazing and inspiring in their own ways. Another person whose beauty inspires me is Deepika Padukone. She is one person I follow religiously.

My formula to change from day look to night look

The best and simplest way to change from a day look to a glamorous night look is to just change your lip colour, add a dash of contour to your face and a hint of blush and that’s it! You are ready for the party.

Must-have beauty products

The three products that always go with me are my lip colour, Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and skin cream.

My red carpet look for celebs

My red carpet look depends on many factors but the inspiration comes from the garment and the event. If the celeb has a style of her own, I try to come up with a look that matches her personality and style quotient. The complete look depends on the outfit, the event and the look and feel of the event in general. Based on these factors, I choose the colour palettes and work accordingly on the colour of the eyes and lips. Most celebrities these days prefer a nude base without caking on too many layers.

My ultimate beauty tip

Drink plenty of water. Yes everyone keeps repeating it, but it is the ultimate truth for beautiful skin. Also, taking your make-up off everyday is equally important. A lot of people think make-up only enhances features and makes you look more beautiful, but it cannot harm. They need to realise that make-up needs to be removed too, so your skin gets to breathe free.

My beauty regime

I keep my beauty and skincare routine simple with only a few essential products which includes a good moisturiser, sunscreen and under eye gel or cream-based products as per my skin type. My daily regime includes Clinique Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect Lotion SPF 50.

Grooming regime for a big event

For a big event, my regime includes 24 Hour-Smooth-Wear Concealer, Clear Brow Set and Lip Conditioner, all from MAC.

My most fun & fab look

It’s difficult to pick one look. But certainly one of the most fun and memorable looks I did was for Manish Arora’s Couture Show held at The Embassy of France in New Delhi. We created looks that resonated well with the garments and style. To get in sync with the embroidery and embellishments on the outfits, we came up with dramatic looks with the entire face covered with colourful bindis, and created different patterns on different models.

My beauty muse

It has to be Marlyn Monroe! I’ve always been a fan of the classic beauty that never goes out of fashion. The red lips and winged eyeliner look that she was famous for, Marylyn Monroe will continue to be an inspiration for women all over the world. Her style personified the right combination without looking too overpowering.

My formula to change from day look to night look

Red lips! Simple and effortless, one can transform a day look to night look with this single step. Red is my favourite shade.

Must-have beauty products

MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo to change from day to night look; Classic eye kohl or Technakohl Liner in Graphblack with creamy texture and no-smudge formula; and Studio Fix 24-hour smooth wear concealer that is lightweight and comfortable to wear.

My red carpet look for celebs

While working on a celebrity look, you have to work around their individual style and personality. Apart from this, one has to factor in the occasion and the outfit, while keeping in mind the seasonal trends.

My ultimate beauty tip

Stay true to your personality and be comfortable with your individual style!
