“I bought the magazine at 11 a.m. and within 20 minutes of dedicated reading, I had decided to get rid of my long locks and have now got cool, spiky hair, just like Yuvraj Singh on the WWW page.”

Beauty-cation

On August 24, 2011, over a 100 beauty career aspirants attended a seminar held by the LTA School of Beauty in Mumbai. The seminar included talks by Anurag Kedia, Director, Four Fountains Spa, Vaishali K.Shah, Director, LTA School of Beauty and our very own Kanishka Ramchandani, Managing Editor, HAIR Magazine. While Anurag explained how lucrative a career in the spa industry is, along with the need for good communication skills, Kanishka threw light on the industry trends. She cited the need for monitoring and adapting to changing trends and pointed out the growing need for male grooming in parlours and salons. Overall, it was an extremely insightful and much-needed seminar.

What's in store?

A new LUSH store opened its doors in August, in Mumbai. An event took place at the newly launched LUSH store in Andheri. This is the fourth store in Mumbai and the 14th in India. The Director for LUSH in India, Mrs. Sangeeta Kamath was also present at the event. She educated everyone on the benefits of fresh, handmade skincare products to the skin. "What you don’t eat, you don’t apply on your skin," said Mrs. Kamath. She went on to elaborate that the finest chocolate, the freshest grapes, fair trade cocoa butter, organic honey and other natural ingredients go into making their skincare products.
