We’ve got Malini Agarwal, Founder-MissMalini.com, to put together cool style tips for boss lady looks that never go out of style.
“Dressing well and looking presentable are so important, but so is being comfortable because ultimately that is what makes me feel confident and gets me through a busy day. And in my case, it takes my dream team, who I refer to as my personal squad, to put together a great look for every single event and appearance.
I hope you are able to take a few pointers away from these style tips. But remember, at the end of the day, dress for yourself and what you feel suits your aesthetic and body type the best!”
Boss Lady Style Tip #3
Don’t be afraid to play around with colour. Colours can communicate moods and ideas! Red is a symbol of passion and power, purple communicates creativity and insight, white conveys freedom and innocence. Now you know that colour not only allows you to put your best foot forward, but also makes you stand out in a crowd.
Hair & Makeup Fix: Add fun braids or a ponytail, ultimately your look can go only as far as your willingness to experiment and play around. But if you’re confident that a particular style works for all your looks, then roll with that. Take Anna Wintour for instance, her classic and fringed bob hasn’t changed in years and she still looks incredible. Opt for monochromatic makeup with matching lipstick, blush and eye shadow.
Boss Lady Style Tip #4
Indo-western clothes too can contribute to that boss lady style if paired smartly. Try pairing a sleek pair of black jeans with a vibrant, printed kurta for that added twist. And of course play around and experiment with other style combinations to find your ultimate comfort zone.
Hair & Makeup Tip: Side-swept hair with a combination of waves can really add dimension to this sort of a look. Stick with a clean base, elaborate winged-liner and a muted lip. For that natural flushed look, use your ring finger and smudge some cream blush or your lipstick on the apples of your cheek.
Boss Lady Style Tip #5
While many believe that jumpsuits are mostly to be worn to parties or for more casual gatherings. I believe that a good jumpsuit is a great boss lady vibe. It will fit you like a glove and instantly sharpen your appearance. Apart from that it will also lengthen and streamline your body. I particularly love this Sabyasachi one because of the print, the belt that cinches my waistline and the buttery fall of those bellbottom pants.
Hair & Makeup Fix: Opt for poker straight locks or wavy, tousled hair. Finish off with strong brows, subtle brown eye shadow and muted brown lipstick that matches the colour of your outfit ever so slightly.
