1. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is naturally prophylactic and has an anti inflammatory effect as well, when applied on the scalp. Just squeeze out the juice of 1 regular lemon and apply it on the scalp evenly with a cotton ball. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and rinse well later. Do this for about 1-2 times a week to see the difference.

2. Coconut Oil

The primary cause for the itchiness in your scalp is dryness. Coconut oil is the best moisturiser when it comes to your scalp. Take some coconut oil, heat it up for a bit, and apply it, while massaging your scalp. Keep it for about a few minutes, and wash it off with a mild shampoo.

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda is an antibacterial agent that helps in neutralising the pH of your scalp. Take 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda, and add some water to make a paste. Apply it on your scalp, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

The malic acid present in an apple cider vinegar acts as an astringent, which reduces itching considerably. Mix some of the vinegar with water, and massage it into your scalp well.

5. Onion Juice

Take a freshly peeled onion and squeeze out the juice using a blender (or whatever other equipment suits you). Apply the squeezed juice on your scalp using a cotton ball and leave it on for about 20 minutes, before washing it off. The onion juice will treat your itchy scalp, keep it  infection free, and will also reduce any inflammation.
