These 3 striking lip trends are going to be big in 2021. Here’s your guide to do them.
While we’re living through unprecedented times, intimate gatherings are still keeping everyone’s spirits high. Even if you’ve got masks on, your lip looks don’t need to be limited to a tinted lip balm or regular matte lipstick. Take the time out to experiment as cosmetics brand Kiro suggests three lip trends that will definitely make you stand out of the (small) crowd.
While the Kardashian-Jenner sisters deserve the credit for making lush, plump lips all the rage, you don’t need to head to a clinic to recreate the look. All you need is a liquid matte lipstick. Start by lining your lips; instead of doing so on the edges, line them on the outside of your edges. Then, fill in your pout with the liquid lipstick, give it a few seconds to set and you’re done!
Metallic lips don’t have to be the OTT looks you only spot on celebrities and models. The amount of shine you’ll achieve depends on how much you apply. Metallic lipsticks are packed with colour pigments along with finely milled gold shimmer. Dab and blend a very thin layer for a shimmer tint look or go over your lips with a couple of coats for a glam-packed look.
The ombré lip trend that started on the runway soon became a beauty look that everyone came to love. The brighter the colours, the nicer it looks. Dab the lipstick on the inner halves of your top and bottom lip and then using your finger, start to blur the colour outwards, towards your lip line. The best part about this look: Even if it starts to fade, it’ll still look on trend!
