LEAP India brings the first ever international make-up school, MUD LA, to Mumbai.
In a first for India, LEAP India recently launched a branch of LA’s make-up institute, Make-up Designory (MUD) in Mumbai.
The launch evening was quite eventful as Bollywood celebrities and socialites including Ranveer Singh, Kriti Sanon, Dia Mirza, and Kalki Koechlin graced the event. There was a display of nine prosthetic looks from the Designory’s artists, along with a speech from Mr. Varun Gupta, the brainchild behind the launch of the make-up institute.Backed by a legacy of steel businesses, LEAP India Institute is renowned for providing vocational education across various creative and professional streams such as health & wellness, soft skills, hair care, hospitality and, now, make-up and photography. Make-up Designory (MUD) is their latest venture and redefines the Indian make-up industry. It promises to train students with the aim to enable them to work in the Indian fashion, film and television industries. Some of the specialities include beauty make-up artistry, character make-up and special make-up effects.
MUD has also introduced a range of products, which have been quite popular globally. In India, the cosmetics will initially be retailed on popular e-commerce platforms Myntra and Nykaa, aside from being available to students at the institute.
The institute has also collaborated with renowned fashion photographer Rohan Shrestha to introduce a curriculum in photography. The academy opened enrolments on February 7th, 2018.
