Plumped-up lengths
Meet the expert Amanda Harvey from The Cutting Room, London, for the Paul Mitchell Platform Artist Club, shows
you how to create plumped-up lengths.
Plumped-up lengths as worn by Blake Lively
“Hollywood has long been in love with big hair, but the new way to wear volume is to have a flatter root
area and ‘swollen’ ends like Blake,” says Amanda. “It’s a much fresher way to get a big hair look, but
the smoother roots make it 100 percent wearable.”
Switch on your rollers. Work some
mousse into the roots and lengths of
damp hair and blast with your dryer for
instant thickness and manageability. Once
dry, brush through.
