Pucker Up to Fuller Lips with These 5 Hacks

If you weren’t born with full lips, Priyanka Ravani Punamiya shares her top secrets for getting that luscious pout, sans needles.

Envious of Priyanka Chopra’s much-spoken about lips or Angelina Jolie’s red carpet smile? Then it’s time you step up your lip-care game and dress up your lips like never before!

If your outfit, accessories, and skincare routine are all perfect, there’s no excuse to leave your lips looking dull and dry. Here are five tried and tested tips for fuller lips even Kylie Jenner would approve of:
Exfoliate Your Lips
Flaky lips look dull and lifeless; hence the need to exfoliate them. Use a toothbrush and gently brush it over your lips to take off the dead skin. Rustle up a homemade scrub of honey and sugar, and use it on your lips to get rid of dead skin cells as well as to emit a delicious glow. By following this routine for a day or two before date night, your lips will have a nice rosy tinge and will be soft and supple.

Draw Outside the Lines
Use a lip liner that matches your lipstick. Forget everything you learned in school about drawing inside the lines. Draw outside your lips by tracing it just slightly above your natural lip line. Fill in your lips with lipstick and say ‘hello’ to a fuller pout.
Enhance Dark Colours
Dark-coloured lipsticks can make your lips look flatter. Hence, to create an illusion of plump lips, make use of lip glosses over your lip colour to make your lips stand out. The reflective quality of the gloss will make your pout shine, literally!
Enhance the Cupid’s Bow
With the help of your lip liner, draw an X in the centre of your top lip. Fill your lips in with lipstick, and play up your look by dabbing a tinge of shimmery gloss or powder in the centre of your top and bottom lip. This defined Cupid’s Bow will definitely make your pout look selfie-ready.

Sting Therapy
This D.I.Y home solution shows instant results; mix one or two drops of cinnamon oil with one drop of coconut oil. Apply this solution on your lips and let it sit for 15 minutes before you apply your lipstick. You will experience a slight tingling, burning sensation, which will wear off. The after result will lead your lips to swell up a bit (goodbye, lip fillers). If the burning persists, wash it off with cold water immediately.
