Now that we’re all under lockdown and have ample time in our hands, let’s whip up some easy-do-it-yourself tan remedies and glow up!
Sour curd and lemon juice
Using curd not only helps in removing tan, it also moisturizes your skin. Lemon is the best remedy for tan removal as its bleaching properties help get rid of tan naturally. Simply blend these two ingredients to form a paste and apply it onto your face. Wait until the mix dries and rinse off with cool water.
Oats and milk
Make a scrub for your face with oats and milk to help get rid of tan and dead cells. Take a few spoons of oats and half a small cup of milk. Blend these two ingredients to form a thick paste and apply to face and neck. This scrub also helps stimulate blood circulation. Rinse off once it dries with cool water.
Tomato and sandalwood
Sandalwood is an excellent ingredient as it helps with tan removal, acne marks and dark spots too. Tomato is loaded with rich minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Hence a combination of these two is sure to work wonders. Blend the two ingredients into a paste and apply on face and neck. Rinse once it dries completely.
Potato and cucumber
Potatoes are known to brighten skin andreduce dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles.Cucumber is hydrating and rich in vitamin A and B1. It also helps in blood circulation. Mix these two ingredients and combine well. Apply onto face and neck or you can pour the mix into an ice tray and rub the ice cubes gently onto your face.
Aloe vera and masoor dal
Masoor dal exfoliates the skin, cleanses it, tightens pores, brightensskin and makes it oil-free.Aloe vera moisturizes the skin and keeps it soft.To make this mask, soak a cup of masoor dal and add a few spoons of aloe vera gel to it. Blend the two to make a thick paste. Apply on face, neck, hands and feet. Rinse with cool water once the paste dries off completely.
