 It’s good to be on the go all the
time, but that also means giving up
on the ‘me time’. My definition of a
haircare regime used to be to dab
on a lot of oil, leave it overnight,
wash it off the next morning and…
well, that’s about it! The amount of
travelling and sweltering heat I faced
had started to show on my hair. So, I
preferred to tie it up all the time…boring,
but easy. So, when I decided to go for a
hair spa, I could almost hear my hair
heaving a sigh of relief.
My destination, Magicc Mirror, a unisex
salon was located in the high-end
Hiranandani Gardens in Mumbai. If a
fancy salon with all the frills and thrills is
what you have in mind, you might be a
tad disappointed. Browsing through the
menu, I was a little confused about
which treatment to choose. My stylist,
Sahil, tried to explain the different ones
on offer and, although he gave it his
best, I was left even more confused at
the end of it all!
Eventually, I opted for the L’Oréal
Professionnel Hair Spa Repairing
Treatment. While I won’t go into detail, I
will say that it was relaxing and I’m glad I
opted for this treatment, as I could feel
the difference. After a wash, the front
sections of my hair were blow-dried for a
neat look, keeping my waves intact, while
the rest was blast-dried. To wrap up the
treatment, the Energizing Scalp Lotion
was rubbed on to my scalp to give my
hair that extra shine.
It’s strange how devoting just 45 minutes
of your day can do wonders to your
tresses. Now I can confidently wear my
hair loose. All thanks to the hair spa. But,
do take an appointment in advance to
make sure that all the products and
stylists are in when you arrive.
The salon specialises in cuts and colours,
so if that’s what you are looking for, this
place is worth a try.
