Besides its culinary charm, turmeric is also well-known for its antiseptic properties such as it is used to heal wounds or is consumed when having sore throat. It also aides in digestion and boost’s the immune system. Not to mention, the myriad of benefits it has for your skin and hair.

Turmeric Skin Masks

  1. For pigmentation: 

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Sandalwood Powder

Mix turmeric powder and sandalwood powder with some rose water or plain water. Apply this paste on the affected area of your face and wash off after 15 minutes.

  1. To get even skin tone:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Almond Oil/ Lemon Juice

Add lemon juice or almond oil (only for those with sensitive skin) with turmeric powder and apply this paste to whole face, covering your neck area. After 15-20 minutes, wash your face.

  1. To prevent wrinkles:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Sugarcane Juice

Add turmeric powder with sugarcane juice and apply this paste on your face. Clean your face after 10 minutes and pat dry.

  1. For glowing skin:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Honey

Mix Greek yogurt and honey with turmeric powder and apply this paste on the face. Rinse it with luke warm water and pat dry.

  1. For exfoliation:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Yogurt or Milk

Mix apple cider vinegar and yogurt or milk with turmeric powder. After applying the paste scrub your face gently so that all the dead cells are removed. Rinse it off and pat dry.

  1. To repair cracked heels:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric Powder
  • Castor Oil
  • Coconut Oil

Blend castor oil and coconut oil with turmeric powder and apply it on your cracked heels. Leave it for 10 minutes and rinse your feet.

Turmeric Hair Masks

  1. To prevent hair loss:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric powder
  • Milk
  • Honey

Blend milk and honey with turmeric powder and make a paste of it. Apply the mask on your scalp and rinse it after 20 minutes.

  1. For dandruff-free hair:

You’ll need:

  • Turmeric powder
  • Olive Oil

Mix olive oil with turmeric powder and apply the paste on your scalp. Let it sit for some good 15-20 minutes and rinse.
