Lychee and pomegranate:

A rich source of vitamins and antioxidants that prevent and treat pigmentation, lychees help to delay signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. According to renowned herbal cosmetologist Shahnaz Husain, lychees and pomegranates are great for skin rejuvenation and improve the moisture retention capabilities of the skin. Pomegranate promotes regeneration of cells in the skin’s dermis. The fruit is also rich in potassium and fibre and contains vitamin C and niacin, which are good for not just the skin but also the entire body.

Watermelons:

Watermelons, like their size, are big in nutritional properties. Avni Amlani, Education Director – Dermalogica India, recommends the fruit for those with dehydrated skin. “It is also a great antioxidant and is rich in vitamins A, B and C. Watermelons are known to help dissolve sebum build-up while the acids in the fruit act as exfoliants,” she says. Its moisturising properties help to maintain skin elasticity, thereby minimising signs of ageing. Eat this succulent fruit to keep your skin looking fresh, radiant and hydrated.
Tomatoes:

You have heard of the popularity of the tomato red shade; now munch on the fruit and see how your skin reacts. According to Husain, “It contains lycopene, which is an antioxidant and, therefore, has anti-ageing benefits when applied on the skin.” Amlani points out that tomatoes help in repairing sun damage and are known to be effective in shrinking pores. It is also a good blood purifier and has several health benefits to
Berries and cherries:

Amlani points out that strawberries are known to even out the skin while the salicylic acid in them fights acne. Those with sensitive or irritated skin should turn to raspberries, as they have a soothing and non-stimulating effect. Big things come in small packages in the case of cherries, which contain vitamins and minerals that nourish the skin. “Cherries have anti-inflammatory effects and help to soothe irritated skin,” says Husain. According to her, they also help in cases of sun-damaged skin and exposure to UV rays.
Apples:

Apart from vitamins and minerals, apples also contain pectin and tannin, which help to tighten the skin. “A wonderful skin toner that stimulates blood circulation to the skin surface, this fruit also has antioxidant properties,” shares Husain. Amlani states that apples contain a natural source of malic acid, which aids exfoliation. They are also great if you are worried about oily skin, as they control oil production.
Grapefruit:

Grapefruit is effective in cleaning pores and, therefore, forms a part of several cleansers and toners. Its oil makes a good moisturiser too, which means the fruit is part of your basic skincare regime! According to Husain, the fruit works wonders on oily and pimple-prone skin. “It also aids in tan reduction,” she says.
Cranberries and red grapes:

According to Amlani, “A great antioxidant, rich in vitamins A and C, cranberries not only rejuvenate your skin but also aid in collagen production.” You can also minus a few years from your age, as cranberries and red grapes are known to delay skin ageing! “Also a great antioxidant, red grapes are great revitalisers and give the skin a nice glow,” says Husain.
