Your romantic braided updo guide
Whether loose and low or intricate and bejewelled, updos give your tresses a serious attitude. Let us show you how you can create this braided updo in four easy steps.
So, your romantic dinner plan with candlelight’s and flowers is fixed, you have selected your dress, accessories and heels… But what about your hair? This Valentine’s Day make sure your hair is looking effortlessly understated with the right amount of glamour and charm with this easy-to-do braided updo.
Part your hair and apply mousse to add texture. Once you add the mousse, comb through the hair to ensure that it is dispersed evenly from root to the tip for a sleek look.
Separate the front section of the hair and curl using a curling tong. When the hair is still warm, curl and clip (like in the picture) in order to set the curl.
Gather the remaining hair at the back of the head into a neat ponytail and create a simple braid, leaving one strand in the front which will be pinned in place at the end.
Loosen the braid, by gently pulling the hair strands to create a more natural and relaxed look. Start at the top and work your way down. Pin the end of your braid to the top of your head. Remove the clips from your curls and pin back the remaining hair. You can embellish the look with a hair charm or band as you wish.
