Natasha Nasta, Top Stylist, Jean-Claude Biguine Salon

Formula to save a bad hair day
Dry shampoo would work very well to refresh the scalp and add a volumising texture to the hair. In case of extra frizzy hair, one could spray a leave-in conditioner and apply a good amount of hair serum.

 Most effortless updo
My most effortless and favourite styles are the triple twist ponytail and waterfall braids. Messy buns never go out of style. So do the choppy bobs and lobs.

Mantra for best hair experience
My best hair experience would be using the right shampoo, conditioner and hair mask according to the hair type. After which, you can use a heat protector and blow-dry to complete the look.

“It’s all about making people happy”

Star hair products
Açai oil, Sebastian whipped cream and Moroccan oil blow-dry concentrate are my personal favourite products.

Special hair technique
Thanks to the recent boom in hair colouring techniques, I’d recommend crystallising, balayage ombré, back-coming hi-lites or babylights. There are so many cool new trends, just try them all! Best of all, they work for all types of colors and needs. So go ahead and spice up those strands!

Idea of professional satisfaction
It’s not just about cutting hair; it’s about using my skills and creativity to achieve the best end result for each and every client. It’s all about making people happy!

Mantra for excellence
The magic mantra is to do your best and excellence will come naturally.

Ryan D. Rosario, Celebrated Hairstylist & Owner, MUAH Salon

Formula to save a bad hair day
A high pony, to me, really accentuates one’s features as well as gives you a mini face lift. It’s youthful, goes well on denim as well as a cocktail dress. So pony has to be one of my favorite go-to hairstyle, if all else fails.

Most effortless updo
After a hair wash, braid your hair into multiple small braids or a French braid. You can put in a little mousse on the ends beforehand and leave it overnight. And voila, you get super wavy hair next morning. The intensity of the waves depends on the texture of your hair. My hair tip for braids: Braids have to be done till the ends of the hair.

Mantra for best hair experience
A hair spa.

“I am super satisfied when I’ve achieved a certain hair colour”

Star hair products
Salt spray and texture maker – these products work great for both men hair as well as women. They give great volume and thickness.

Special hair technique
I can’t think of any at the moment but maybe some hair colour calculations that go on in my head, so as to get least amount of dryness in the outcome. For men’s hair, I’d suggest getting a style that suits them the best.

Idea of professional satisfaction
I feel I’ve had a great day and am super satisfied when I have achieved a certain hair colour that my client has requested. Also when I’ve bettered it in terms of a colour that I know has not caused dryness even a couple of months later. One of the most difficult jobs is to keep the hair curly but de-frizz it totally, which is achievable albeit with utmost care, during the procedure. These are a few things that make me feel good at work.

Mantra for excellence
Client satisfaction. Well, the word satisfaction is a state of content but making a client happy or delighted is another thing altogether. Now that is my mantra.

Shailesh Moolya, Technical Director, Juice Salon

Formula to save a bad hair day
My formula is: simply accessorise your hair with a scarf or bandana or use a glitter hair pin or a funky baseball cap.

Most effortless updo
Chignon and a Dutch braid would be my all-time favourite and effortless hairdos.

Mantra for best hair experience
Listen to your hair expert carefully and do the treatments recommended. Also, follow it up with home care regime for optimum results.

It’s the right attitude and knowledge packed with the unbeatable skills.

Loic Chapoix, Creative Art Director, Dessange Paris-India

Formula to save a bad hair day
It’s the combination of dry shampoo and braids. First, apply the dry shampoo on your hair to remove greasiness. Braids are an easy way to tie back any unruly hair and still look like you put in effort that morning, plus it’s in fashion!

Most effortless updo
Wash and condition your hair. Then apply a generous amount of Kérastase Elixir Ultime oil and make 4-5 plaits with your hair. Sleep with the plaits on and open them in the morning, you will get beautiful beach waves.

My satisfaction lies in looking at my client smile after she’s offered the service she had asked for. Before leaving the salon, if she starts applying lipstick, that means she’s happy about her image and my mission is accomplished. I feel at my best then.

Mantra for excellence
My only mantra is ‘Treat your customer like you would love to be treated’.
